Saints Peter and Paul School is an accredited elementary school that follows the curriculum guidelines of the Diocese of Tucson. North Central Association and the Western Catholic Education Association approve its curriculum. Following curricular standards in each of the core and ancillary subject areas, teachers accentuate core concepts and skills and enhance these through instructional strategies designed to meet the individual learning needs of students. Saints Peter & Paul is also proud of the technology that is integrated into our everyday curriculum, including extensive use of SmartBoard Technology. Basic curriculum includes Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Within the Language Arts program at the primary grade levels students are instructed in handwriting, the writing process, English and phonics. Additionally, students are provided opportunity for role play and other speaking opportunities. Ancillary curricula include music, physical education, art, computers, and Spanish. Again, using curricular guides of the Diocese of Tucson, instruction in essential concept and skill are offered to students to enhance their overall learning experience at Saints Peter and Paul School. Note: Conduct includes being courteous, kind and cooperative, getting along with others, respecting rights and property of others, practicing self-control, observing school and class rules; and respecting authority. Good behavioral habits are to be demonstrated outside of class time, e.g., on the playground, at the lunch table, in the halls, during homeroom, and any other place on the school or church property. Effort/Study Habits includes following directions, using time well, completing class and homework assignments, listening attentively, and working carefully and neatly. This also includes classroom participation and recitation.
